Rodrigo Constantino is one of the most popular and richest Economist who was born on July 4, 1976 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Rodrigo Constantino dos Santos, a Brazilian neoconservative atheist and economist was born 4 July 1976. He is best known as a controversial columnist in Veja’s Brazilian magazine from 2013 to 2015.

He used the term again in 2013, commenting on the attack on a police officer by a group calling themselves defenders. This was in a context where there were many acts of vandalism committed by left-wing extremists and anarchists. He quoted: “President Dilma Russoff condemned the act which he called “undemocratic barbarism” and directly cited black blocs. Col. AM Simoes Rossei Reynaldo also sympathized with the victim. Maria do Rosario (Human Rights Minister) followed the president’s lead and said that these attacks are undemocratic barbarisms. This is the minimum that can be expected from our leaders. Usually, they remain silent when the victims of these attacks are police officers and not protesters. We all know that the Left, in general and the PT, have tended to be supportive of criminals or violent groups in their history. MST is one example. This monster was created by PT, and it seems that it is not under control. Some of these movements have caused chaos on our streets, and there are clear indications that leftist parties are involved. Support artists and intellectuals from the caviar left. Some dressed up in black bloc and others recorded video condemning police officers on the streets…and defending “political prisoners”. For this class, police is “fascist”, while real fascists, masked and armed young idealists who “dream”, are “police”. My greatest concern is not the useful idiots. The earth has always existed in a reasonable quantity and below the equator. The silent moderate majority is what really makes me sleep. Burke’s warning is a constant reminder: “All that is required for the triumph over evil is that good people do nothing.”

Constantino, in a 2012 text published in the newspaper O Globo, defends Petrobras’ privatization. He claims that Petrobras is ineffective and that the political use of Petrobras has resulted in increasing costs to investors whose interests are not being considered by the government. Brazil’s government has delayed fuel prices in an effort to reduce inflation, which negatively affects the company’s profits. It also requires large shares of domestic suppliers for billionaires investments in the state company. This increases the costs and delays the schedule. The sector must be strategic and should be freed from corrupt, inefficient, and politicized government management. Petrobras had U$26.7 million net debt in 2007 and ended 2012 with more than U$130billion. Petrobras’ profitability is among the lowest in the sector. The return on equity of Petrobras is less than 10%, which is half the average for international peers. Investors blame the punch in their stomachs, and Petrobras shares are one of the worst performing in the world. Its shares have fallen 5% since 2009, while the Bovespa index grew more than 40% and Vale do Rio Doce amounted to more than half of that. The government is destroying the value of saving thousands, including all those who used the FGTS to help them focus on their business. Why is there not mobilization for Petrosaur privatization The ideological factor is part of the reason. Another factor is the large amount of groupos interest in the state. The company’s 80,000 employees accounted for more than U$ 18Billion in 2011 and nearly U$ 22,000 per month. It is hard to deny that the state company was used as an employment hanger by the “king’s friends”. It is also a blessing for corrupt or inefficient domestic suppliers, who don’t have to compete on the open market. As Silvinho “Land Rover”, a former secretary to the PT, who won an import car from a Petrobras supplier, shows, the path to the state corporation is not always the same.

Constantino, in this 2007 article, criticizes Brazil’s Black Awareness Day. Although it is not a national holiday, but that has been implemented by some states such as Rio de Janeiro, and illustrates his thesis recalling Martin Luther King Jr.’s speech I Have a Dream which condemned racism. Constantino considers this holiday racist. Constantino says that Brazil has a high number of holidays because it is not wealthy enough to afford such luxury. He believes that in Brazil, politicians are always focused on minorities, hoping to secure privileges in return for votes. He said that people don’t care about how many holidays they have because it is just another lazy day for people who worship sloth.

Constantino writes in a 2012 newspaper article about the Rio de Janeiro mayor’s election. He talks of the dispute between Eduardo Paes (PMDB) and Marcelo Freixo(PSOL), an far-left party). Constantino appears in Tropa de Elite as “Diogo Fraga”, which portrays a typical Brazilian leftlist, history professor, and human rights activist who is made State Deputy through the use of leftist rhetoric in speeches. Constantino refers to the “brazilian Caviar- left”. He explained that Rio de Janeiro was a victim to a real plague, the “caviar left”, which is made up of the country’s financial and cultural elite. They present themselves as being altruistic while applauding bloody dictators such as Fidel Castro. They do this from the comfort of their Paris apartments. Iron is not a material that can be made. Constantine says that leftist intellectuals and artists have schizophrenia because they love socialism, but also love capitalism’s three best assets: hard currency, no censorship and bourgeois consumerism. These intellectuals are granted privileges by hypocrisy: they can approach the power. Petrobras has, for instance, allocated R$ 652 millions for “cultural sponsorships” in the period 2008-2011.
