Robert Christen Swift, a professional American basketball player, was born December 3, 1985. He last played for the Spanish club Circulo Gijon Baloncesto y Conocimiento in the LEB Plata league. From 2004 to 2009, he was a member of the National Basketball Association for Seattle SuperSonics/ Oklahoma City Thunder. He also played for the Seattle Aviators and Snohomish County Explosion in 2010. In 2010 and 2011, he was a member of the Tokyo Apache of bj League. He is 7’1″ (2.16m) tall and played the central position.

The Sonics expected Swift to be their starting center in 2006. Swift was given the center position, but he injured his anterior crucial ligament in the right knee in a preseason match against the Sacramento Kings. Swift injured his right knee after he fell, and he went out of bounds in front of the Seattle bench. Swift also sustained a tear in his lateral meniscus in February 2008.

In 2009, Swift joined the Bakersfield Jam of the NBA D-League. However, he left the team for personal reasons after appearing in two games. He was overweight and experienced a decrease in mobility.

On December 22, 2009, the Oklahoma City Thunder renounced the rights to Swift.

The Seattle SuperSonics selected Swift in the first round, with the 12th overall pick in 2004 NBA draft. Swift chose the NBA over college, despite his commitment to USC.
