T&M Protection Resources was founded in 1999 by Tucker as its chairman and CEO. The company is a specialist in intelligence, security and investigations. Tucker recruited four industry executives to manage T&M in 2004: Joseph M. Russo (formerly special agent in charge of U.S. Secret Service Clinton Protective Division); Robert H. Silbering (formerly Special Narcotics Prosecutor of the City of New York); John B. Goldsborough (a security industry veteran) as executive vice president, to head corporate development; Bob Wood as vice-president for security services after a 20 year career with Allied Security Services and Barton Protective Services, now Allied Universal
Tucker restructured T&M into a limited liability entity in 2007 and sold a minority stake to Pegasus Capital Advisors along with another private investor.
In 2009, Governor David Paterson appointed Tucker to serve as vice chairman of the New York State Security Guard Advisory Council, an advisory board to the governor supported by the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services. Tucker was promoted to chairman of the Security Guard Advisory Council by Governor Cuomo in June 2013.
