Rino Anto is one of the most popular and richest Indian footballer who was born on January 3, 1988 in Thrissur, Kerala, India. Rino Anto, a professional Indian footballer, was born 3 January 1988. He plays as a right back and defender for East Bengal FC in India’s Super League.

Anto, who had previously played two seasons in the I-League with Salgaocar, signed for Quartz in the I-League 2nd Division to help them in their quest for promotion. Anto was unable to play in the 2nd Division so he joined the Kerala football team. They reached the final, losing to the Services football team by 3-4 penalties.

On 25 February 2015, new Indian coach Stephen Constantine included Anto in the shortlist of 32 players for World Cup qualifier match against Nepal. However, due to his injury, he failed to make it into the shortlist of 26 players when Constantine declared in early March.

The 2015 season started well for Anto, as Bengaluru FC reached the finals of Federation Cup by defeating Sporting Clube de Goa three goals to nil in the semifinal. Bengaluru won the final 2–1, as they won their maiden Federation Cup title. Anto also featured in the AFC Champions League qualifying match against Johor Darul Ta’zim. Rino signed a 2-year extension to his contract with Bengaluru which would keep him at the club until the end of the 2016-17 season.

On 5 June 2013, it was reported that Anto and Wahid Sali had signed with Mohun Bagan, allowing them to return to the I-League in the 2013-14 season. Anto was released by Mohun Bagan on June 24, 2013, less than 20 days after signing for the club’s second spell. The club couldn’t afford his salary. He did not make any appearances at the club.

Anto was born in Thrissur in Kerala. He is a graduate of the Tata Football Academy Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, where he graduated in 2008. Anto was a professional player in the I-League from 2008 to 2010, playing with Mohun Bagan. He was released on 23 February 2010. Anto then played in the I-League with Mohun Bagan from 2008 to 2010. He scored once against East Bengal at Fatorda Stadium on 19 May 2011. Salgaocar won the match 3-2. In the AFC Cup, he played against Al-Wehdat, a Jordan League team. He started but played 32 minutes. After that, he was subbed for Augustin Fernandes. Salgaocar lost the match 1-2.

On 20 July 2013, Anto was officially announced at a gala at Bangalore Football Stadium as part of Bengaluru FC’s new direct-entry team, which would be participating in the 2013-14 I-League. On 22 September 2013, he made his Bengaluru debut in the first I-League match against Mohun Bagan. He was substituted for Keegan Perryeira in the 71st minutes as Bengaluru lost the match 1-1. After defeating Dempo, he won the I-League in his first season.

Rino made his national team debut on 11 June 2015 against Oman in a Group D game of the 2018 World Cup qualifier in a 1-2 loss at home in Bengaluru.
