Rick Dantzler is one of the most popular and richest Politician who was born on January 6, 1956 in Fort Leonard Wood, United States. Dantzler was born on Fort Leonard Wood, January 2, 1956. While Dantzler was still a child, his father was the mayor of Winter Haven. His younger brother Brad was elected to that office in January 2016. A brother, Todd Dantzler, has served as a Polk County commissioner in Florida.

Dantzler met Julie Pope during his 1982 first run for the Florida House of Representatives. Pope, the daughter of Dick Pope Jr., a Florida water skier, was described by Sun-Sentinel to be “a hometown girl” and “the well-to-do granddaughter [of] the founder of Winter Haven’s Cypress Gardens tourist attraction”. Pope and Dantzler were married in 1984. Their children were two: Elizabeth, the older daughter (or 1986), was a student at medical school. Margaret, the younger child (or 1990), was an Atlanta primary school teacher. According to his biography in the Florida House of Representatives, Dantzler is a Presbyterian.

Born into a family of politicians, Dantzler is a lawyer and writer. With his wife Julie (née Pope), Dantzler has two adult daughters. A member of the Florida Bar since 1983, Dantzler was specializing in agricultural law at the Victor Smith Law Group law firm as of May 2018. In July 2018, Dantzler was hired as chief operating officer of the Lake Alfred, Florida-based Citrus Research and Development Foundation.

Despite the political endorsement of the Sun-Sentinel, MacKay and Dantzler ultimately lost the November 3, 1998 election to Jeb Bush and Frank Brogan.

Dantzler was back in Winter Haven in 1981 when rumours circulated that Bob Crawford, a local Democrat, was thinking about running for the Florida Senate. However, he refused to publicly commit and it was stopping other Democrats who wanted to run for Crawford’s House seat. Dantzler approached Crawford instead in the representative’s offices and asked him about his intentions. Dantzler won the seat in the 43rd district with 11364 votes, or 60.1% of the vote. Dantzler was unopposed in the Democratic primary as well as the general election for his 1984 bid to keep his seat from the 43rd district. From 1982-1990, Dantzler served four terms in the same seat.

Rick Dantzler, born January 1956, is an American lawyer who was a former Florida politician and is now allied with Democratic Party. Dantzler, a Winter Haven resident, was elected to four terms of two years (1982-1990), in the Florida House of Representatives and one term of eight years (1990-1998) in Florida Senate. In 1998, he was Buddy MacKay’s running mate. They lost to Jeb Bush (and Frank Brogan). Dantzler served as President Obama’s Florida State Executive Director for the Farm Service Agency from 2014 to 2017. Dantzler was a student at both the University of Puget Sound as well as the University of Florida. In 1978, he received a Bachelor’s of Arts in political science and a Juris Doctor in 1981. Dantzler was a member of Alpha Tau Omega and Florida Blue Key at the University of Florida.

Dantzler was admitted to The Florida Bar in 1983. Prior to accepting appointment to the FSA position, Dantzler led the Tampa/Winter Haven, Florida branch of Morgan & Morgan’s Business Trial Group. As of May 2018, he worked for the Winter Haven law firm Victor Smith Law Group, specializing in agricultural law, representing property owners, mediation, environmental law, and general civil litigation.

I miss it a lot.” Dissatisfied with the products of Tallahassee, Florida and Washington, D.C. politics, the former state senator had crafted an agenda in case he returned to politics.
