Richard Naylor is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on February 28, 1977 in Leeds, England, United Kingdom. Richard Alan Naylor, born 28 February 1977, is an ex- English footballer who was a centre back. Naylor began his career with Ipswich Town as a striker. Joe Royle made him a centreback in 2002. He has continued to play as a center back ever since. After Neil Warnock’s dismissal in 2013, Naylor has retired from professional football. He was previously the Under 18’s manager at Leeds United. He also served as Leeds’ Caretaker Assistant manager for a short time.

Ipswich were nevertheless relegated by one point in 2001-02, and Joe Royle was appointed Ipswich manager. With many of the Club’s players leaving due to administration, Naylor was once again in the picture. Royle made the decision to move Naylor back to centre-half, which saw Naylor’s performance improve and ironically increased his goals for the club.

Ian Westlake had revealed in the October/November 2006 issue of the Leeds, Leeds, Leeds magazine about Naylor that “Bam-Bam’s a massive Leeds fan – he’s got the white rose tattooed on his arm and sings ‘Marching On Together’ in the shower after training”.

Naylor played a key role in Ipswich’s promotion pushes in 2003–04 and 2004–05 where the club would lose in the semi-finals to West Ham United and went on to become a staple for club in the less successful 2005–06. In 2006, Joe Royle left Ipswich and Naylor’s former teammate Jim Magilton took over as manager. On 1 September 2006, he was given a testimonial at Ipswich for 10 years as a professional at the club in which 10,000 fans attended the game at Portman Road to see the current Ipswich team play against the Wembley 2000 XI. It finished 3–3 with Naylor fittingly scoring a last minute penalty. Naylor remained in the first team at Ipswich playing at the back alongside team captain Jason DeVos in 2006–07 and 2007–08. In 2008–09 his last season with the club, he was made club captain.

Ipswich was riding high in Premiership but Naylor found himself once more out of favour with George Burley, his former manager. During 2000-01, Naylor made sporadic appearances on behalf of Ipswich. This saw Ipswich reach the UEFA Cup. Ipswich would score the final goal against Derby County with Naylor.

Richard Naylor is one of the richest Association Football Player from United Kingdom. According to our analysis, Wikipedia, Forbes & Business Insider, Richard Naylor 's net worth $5 Million. (Last Update: December 11, 2023)

Naylor was born in Leeds, West Yorkshire. He graduated from the Ipswich Town youth academy. He played for Ipswich 14 years. In the mid-1990s, he was a strong centre forward and made a huge impact for Ipswich. Naylor was limited by recurring injuries that kept him from reaching his full potential as an attacker. He soon fell behind Alex Mathie and James Scowcroft and David Johnson, and then Marcus Stewart, in the Portman Road pecking order.

Naylor was in great form in 1999-2000 but was again forced to the bench. However, he would play an important role in Ipswich’s decisive playoff final against Barnsley (a team he would later join). Naylor was a substitute in the first half for David Johnson. He was widely credited with changing the match’s course and scoring one goal and setting up another, bringing Ipswich back to the Premier League for only the second time since 1995.

In 2001–2002 Naylor was out of Ipswich’s plans, despite having the opportunity to play against Italian giants Inter Milan in the UEFA Cup. He was loaned out to Barnsley and Millwall in 2002 in what seemed to many as the end of his Ipswich career.
