He was loaned to Jesolo-Sandona Basket in the Series A Dilettanti during summer 2008. This helped the Venetian side avoid relegation.

Truccolo started his career in Pallacanestro Pordenone’s youth sector. He then moved to Nuovo Basket 2000 Pordenone (now part SBP – Sistema Basket Pordenone). He was chosen by the Serie A team Snaidero Udine in summer 2005 to be part their youth sector. He was called by Cesare Pancotto, coach of Serie A1 in Udine, to play in several matches as a reserve. However, he never actually stepped onto the court.
He joined Nuova Pallacanestro Pavia, also known as Edimes Pavia because of sponsorship. Although Pavia had one of the most successful seasons in recent history, reaching the play off finals against Scavolini Pesaro. Truccolo’s time in Lombardy was not a pleasant experience. He was only given the chance to show his worth during pre-season and playoffs.
After his experience in Jesolo, he became part of Italy’s national Under-20 basketball team to play in the 2009 FIBA Europe U-20 Championship in Rhodes, Greece.
