Guevarra attended Colegio de San Juan de Letran college, where he was paired up with Bryan Faundo and RJ Jazul, future PBA players. They led the Knights to the 2007 Finals, where they lost to the rival San Beda Red Lions. Guevarra was injured in a fall with San Beda center Sudan Daniel on 2009 and this prevented him from playing in the PBA. This also ended Guevarra’s college career prematurely.
