Redlight is one of the most popular and richest DJ who was born on February 19, 1980 in Bristol, England, United Kingdom. In the early 2000s, he started out as DJ Clipz. He released a number of tracks on different drum and bass labels like Full Cycle and Digital Soundboy. He began to diversify his production style in 2009 and adopted the alias Redlight. He set up the label Lobster Boy for productions. His single “Rock The House”/”Twist Up” was his debut, as well as the Lobster Boy EP.
On 22 April 2013, “Switch It off”, a single was released. The original single was a self-released, free download. It was then remixed by Ben Pearce & Paleman. The 36 EP was released by him on March 10, 2014 with Syron, Raekwon and Lotti. The UK Singles Chart ranked the title track at number 81. The singles “36” and “Get Money” were released before the EP was released. They were also given music videos.
He has collaborated with artists such as Mobb Deep, Raekwon (Wu-Tang Clan). Remixed acts including Mary J. Blige and Tink, defining genres, remaining one of the UK’s most consistent and exciting producers of recent years with many more to come.
Redlight was born in the 90s, during the Bristol warehouse rave culture. After 12 years of hard work in the underground, Redlight was able to make it on air in 2012. He has had a few Top 10 UK hits and is now a well-respected artist. His debut solo album, ‘X Colour’, was released in 2012.

Two dance floor recordings were released in 2010. The first was “Stupid” by Shy FX’s Digital Soundboy. It featured the vocals and lyrics of Roses Gabor. The second was “What You Talking About!” Ms. Dynamite was featured on Chase & Status’s MTA Records. Redlight also released two tracks via Digital Soundboy, “Source 16” & “Progress”, as well as his second release on the MTA label, “Get Out My Head”. He has remixed artists ranging from Cee Lo Green to Maverick Sabre, and Ms. Dynamite.
His second single, “Mosquito”, / “Planet X”, was released on Lobster Boy’s imprint in 2012. His UK Top 10 hit “Lost in Your Love”, which was released on Polydor, came with an official video. He adopted the alias Animal Youth later that year, which was used for his remixes to “Lose My Breath”, by Destiny’s Child, and “Try Again,” by Aaliyah. The single “Keep up” / “Try Again” is the result. This alias was also used to release the single “Sixty Forty Zero/Crackle”.
With his label Lobster Boy embracing a love for House, Techno, Hip Hop and vocal-lead dance music, whilst channelling his knowledge and love of Jungle, DnB and bass music, it is a whole new genre-free ‘cross-cultured dance music’ label. After exploring a versatile sound on his debut album, the visionary producer has taken things back to his club roots with a mixtape – ‘Templates Volume 1’ which focuses on tracks crafted specifically for his world-renowned DJ sets. The mixtape series is all about club music. For most of the events Redlight plays, he usually comes with new productions every time. The mixtape series is a culmination of all these productions and is a selection of the best tunes and remixes he has done and will continue to do so.
