Specializing in dance music, they also collaborate on musical theater and pop productions. BetBoyz has worked with and created remixes for some of the industry’s biggest artists: Taylor Dayne, Alicia Keys, Levi Kreis, Inaya Day, Jenn Cuneta and Ari Gold. BetBoyz has appeared at charitable events such as Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS’ Dancers Responding to AIDS, AVP: The Anti-Violence Project and Marriage Equality. In 2009 they co-wrote/produced Free To Love (The Equality Project) with Robbyne Kaamil; created the original mix and secured additional mixes from remixers DJ JST, Amy Alderman/Bryan Reyes, Tony Ruiz, Almond Brown and DJ Nawttyboy; and donated 100% of the proceeds to Broadway Impact, a marriage equality branch of BCEFA. Randy has also lent his talents and time in support of the Anti-Violence Project of NY and Immigration Equality.

Randy Bettis is the son of Bob Bettis, a country singer who was also the former shipping department manager at J. Capps & Sons. He is survived by Iris J. Gregory, a seamstress (deceased), and Robert E. Bettis Jr. His sister Shari Lynn Bettis. As a part of the Saluki Gymnastics Team, Bill Meade’s multiple- time Olympic coach, Bettis attended Southern Illinois University on a partially scholarship. Bettis set many records in vaulting and floor exercise. He began his career as a musical theatre performer after three years of dancing at Opryland USA, Nashville, Tennessee. After touring with the Cats production in Hamburg, Germany, he returned to America two years later to take part in the fourth national tour as Tumblebrutus. He then joined the Broadway company from 1989-1991 and 1996-97. Bettis was a member of the 1992 Boys Back East dance group, which were the national champions of Star Search. In 1992 Randy moved to Broadway’s revival of Guys & Dolls’. In 1994, he joined the Broadway production of Miss Saigon’. Later that year, he joined the 1st National Tour of ’Miss Saigon’ from 1994-1996. Bettis quit the theater in 1997 to become a DJ, music producer, and remix artist.
In 2005, Bettis made a breakthrough with back-toback performances at three of largest dance parties around the globe: The Saint at Large’s New Years Day Event at Capitale, Saint at Large’s Black Party at Roseland Ballroom, and the Heritage of Pride Pier Dance, New York City. Billboard named Bettis to its weekly Hot Dance Club Play Chart panel that year. To promote his new album, GayDays Tour 2006, he began his first national tour, which he self-produced. He toured 26 cities across the country and won JustCircuit.com’s Best Circuit Tour Award in 2006. In the same year, he also launched a weekly mixshow at G.I.R.L. (GayInternetRadioLive.com) with satellite broadcasts on SIRIUS Radio’s OutQ “Saturday Night Out.” Randy continues to wow dance floors at live gigs throughout the country and via his Radio Mixshow on EagleRadio.pro and through mixcloud/djrandybettis and on iTunes podcast.
In 2010, BetBoyz wrote and produced the music for the hit Off-Broadway musical “My Big Gay Italian Wedding” (co-produced by Housewife of New Jersey’s Dina Manzo, Sonia Blangiardo, AnnDee Productions, Eileen Caruso, Teresa A. Cicala, Donna DiCrescento, Frank Levinson and Dolores Naso) and co-wrote/produced the single Up To The Sky for Reichen Lehmkule. On July 23, 2012, “The Groove Factory” (co-produced by BetBoyz) premiered at the Theatre at St. Clement’s, part of the 2012 New York Musical Theatre Festival. The musical includes the first-ever all-electronic score and chronicled the story of friends at the turn of the millennium, at the end of what was known as “the heyday of New York City Clubland” and starred recording artist Kim Sozzi.
