Randy Allen is one of the most popular and richest Basketball Player who was born on January 26, 1965 in Milton, United States. Allen began his coaching career as an assistant at Merrill Green’s 5A Bryan High School. Green coached Allen at Abilene Cooper. Merrill Green is a Texas High School Football Hall Of Fame Coach. He was also a player on the Oklahoma Sooners 1950 National Championship football team, starting as a running back. Allen was hired as the Bearcats’ head coach at 3A Ballinger High School eight years later. Allen arrived in Ballinger five years before he was hired. However, he managed a 44-15-2 record over the next five years.
Allen was the 10th Texas high school football coach to win 300 games with Highland Park’s victory over JJ Pearce High.
In January 2014, Allen was chosen as the recipient of the 2013 Grant Teaff Fellowship of Christian Athletes Lifetime Achievement Award, joining such coaching greats as Tony Dungy and Bobby Bowden.
In 2016, Allen led the Scots to their second state title during his tenure, winning the Division I 5A championship against Temple, Texas, 16-7. Allen was subsequently nominated for the Don Shula Award by the Dallas Cowboys. He was named the Don Shula National Coach of the Year for 2016.
Allen left Abilene in 1999 to become the head coach of 4A Highland Park High School, Dallas, which is one of the most traditional programs in Texas. The Highland Park Scots won 10+ seasons under his leadership, with the exception of 2004 (8-2). Highland Park won the 4A title in 2005 for the first-time in school history. Matthew Stafford, the Scots defeated Marshall 59 to 0 at Tyler’s Trinity Mother Frances Rose Stadium.

Allen is a native Texas player who attended 5A Cooper High School. It was a strong football school. Abilene Cooper, which featured Allen as slotback and tailback, reached the 1967 state final against Austin Reagan at Fort Worth’s Amon G. Carter Stadium. However, Abilene Cooper lost 20-19 in a controversial second-round decision. After graduating in 1968, Allen played for Hayden Fry at Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
Allen was chosen to succeed Texas coach Gordon Wood at 4A Brownwood High School in 1986. Allen was faced with huge expectations and managed to achieve a record of 43-13-2 in five seasons. He decided to return to Abilene Cooper in 1991 after the Cougars had gone 1-9 in 1990. Peel was forced to resign. Allen led the Cougars to their 1996 state final appearance, the first since 1967’s game. Abilene Cooper was defeated by Austin Westlake, a team led by Drew Brees at the Texas Stadium.
