He studied at the “Dagestan State University of National Economy” in 2004. He joined the MMA club Gorets in 2005 under Shamil Alibatyrov and Musail Alaudinov. He was awarded the 2009 Dagestan national combat sambo championship and the 2009 Dagestan pankration championship.
Emeev was scheduled to face Trevor Smith at UFC Fight Night Cerrone Vs. Till on October 21, 2017. Smith pulled out on 6 October and was replaced by Sam Alvey. Alvey weighed in at 189 pounds after he missed the middleweight limit at 185 pounds. Alvey’s bout was made catchweight, and Alvey was penalized 20% of his purse. Emeev won by unanimous decision.
