Raees Warsi was a part of several radio programs that were broadcast on Radio Pakistan ( Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation) Karachi station between 1979 and 1984, which were produced by Zameer Ali & Shehnaz Salesem, senior producers. On different occasions, his lyrics were telecasted on PTV ( Pakistan Television Corporation/ State-run broadcaster) Since 1995, he anchors the broadcast news and produces Urdu-language television shows in New York and New Jersey.
Warsi was born Karachi, Pakistan. Warsi comes from a distinguished family of poets, literary figures. Sattar Warsi is a well-known name in theological poetry in the Naat genre. His brothers, Dr. Saeed Warsi (and Rasheed Warsi) are Urdu journalists and poets. Warsi completed his Masters of Mass Communication at the University of Karachi in 1987 after completing his childhood education in Karachi. He was awarded numerous accolades in Pakistan and he moved to the United States with Tabassum Pervaiz.
