In November 2004, she traveled to Sanya, China to compete in the Miss World
- She wasn’t considered as a favorite and failed to make the top 15. After she gave her 1st runner-up crown to her successor Sharon Luk in 2005, she was asked to compete in the Miss International 2005 pageant in Japan. Although she was dubbed as a favorite, she did not make the top 12 cut in Japan either, but did win Miss Friendship, a title that Hong Kong had won 3 times already. Interesting note was that Hong Kong won the Miss Friendship title 3 times in the last 5 years.
Considered as a favorite from the start, she won the Tourism Ambassador title early on in the competition. After 3 months of training, she competed on stage for the Miss Hong Kong 2004 title. She placed as 1st runner-up to winner Kate Tsui.
