Prakash Panangaden is one of the most popular and richest Computer Scientist who was born on March 11, 1954 in Pune, India. Prakash Panangaden, a native of Pune, India was born on March 11, 1954. Under the guidance of Leonard Parker, he received his PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. His PhD thesis dealt with the normalization of interconnected fields in curvilinear spacetime.

His research community honored him on his 60th Birthday. A three-day symposium called PrakashFest was held at Oxford University. Springer-Verlag published a Festschrift. The Festschrift summary reads: “This Festschrift volume includes papers presented at a conference called Prakash Fest in honour of Prakash Panangaden in Oxford, UK in May 2014. It was held to celebrate his 60th Birthday. Prakash Panangaden’s research has covered many topics, including concurrent and probabilistic computation, logics and dualality, quantum information and computation, and logics and duality. He has made substantial and profound contributions despite the vastness of his research. He introduced logic, and a real-valued understanding of logic to capture quantitative equivalences of probabilistic processes.

He has been a keynote speaker at numerous conferences, including two of the most prestigious conferences in the field – LICS & ICALP.
