Victors is a Ponca O’odham and Tohono O’odham Native American tribe member and a long-time resident of Wichita. In 2005, Victors received a bachelor’s degree from Newman University. She also earned a master’s in public administration from Wichita State University.
Victors had previously worked as a Congressional intern and was a long-time supporter of Delia Garcia (the incumbent Representative from the 103rd district). Garcia helped Victors to file for the Democratic primary election in 2010 as the sole candidate. This was just hours before the deadline. In 1998, the incumbent Democrat Thomas Klein won 57% of the vote in a three way race. Victors was unopposed in November’s general election.
