Peter Nahlin finished second with his Swedish teammates in the 1991 World Team Cup Final in Vojens, Denmark, and followed that with a second at the 1993 Final held at Kumla (both time riding with Tony Rickardsson, Henrik Gustafsson, Per Jonsson and Jimmy Nilsen). Sweden placed third during 1993’s Final held in Coventry, England.
In 2005 he rode one heat as track reserve in the 2005 Swedish Grand Prix. Nahlin is currently one of the expert commentators on SVT’s speedway broadcasts.
Nahlin was a regular member in the Swedish World Team Cup sides during the 1990s in the beginning as also being a representative for Sweden in Test matches against various nations, such as visiting Australia in January of 1991 to assist Sweden win a five-match series against Australia 3-1.

Nahlin first rode for the Swedish Team Getingarna between 1984 and 1985, and won the Swedish Elite League Championship in 1985. Then he worked with Smederna from 1986 to 1996, before returning in 1997 to Vargarna after 1997. Nahlin was at Vargarna until 2000 , but he would return to Smederna after 2001. He would remain with Smederna until 2004, when the race was moved to Bajen Speedway for his final season before his retirement in 2005.
Peter Nahlin rode in England for the Swindon Robins from 1988 until 1991, before joining the Eastbourne Eagles in 1992, remaining in the Southern English squad for two years before joining the Cradley Heathens for 1994, his final year within the British Leagues.
Nahlin started riding for Apator Toruń in Poland in 1991, finishing in 3rd in the Polish Team Championship that year. He then rode for Polonia Piła in 1992. He didn’t ride in Poland in 1993 but returned in 1994 to ride one season for ZKŻ Zielona Góra. After not riding again in Poland in 1995 and 1996 he had one last season in Poland with Polonia Bydgoszcz in 1997, winning the Polish Team Championship.
