The year 1998 was the time Crawford participated in the Townsville Heat’s loss ABA semi-finalist team. The following year, he was instrumental in helping the Heat take home their first QBL championship.
At 19 years old, Crawford made his NBL debut with The Townsville Crocodiles in 1999. In 2001 the year he played, he was part of the Crocodiles who lost the grand final team. In 2004 the team had his hair cut off by Townsville and was then picked for the Perth Wildcats. In his debut season as the Wildcats the team, he won the NBL Most Improved player. From 2007 until 2011 he was a player for the Perry Lakes Hawks of the State Basketball League.
In 2015 and 2016, Crawford played for the West Adelaide Bearcats in the South Australian Premier League. He then played for the Townsville Heat, helping them win a championship in 2017.
