Peter Aluma (23 April 1973 2 February 2021) was an Nigerian pro basketball star from Lagos. After finishing high education in Okota Grammar School in Isolo, Nigeria, the 2.08-m (6’10”) center turned into an international star in the NCAA Division I at Liberty University in Virginia, U.S.
In April 1997 the player was invited to play as a player in his first ever Portsmouth Invitational Tournament. The P.I.T. is a chance for 64 most talented college basketball players of senior age from all over the country to join. The tournament is a four-day 12-game tournament. Each NBA club sends their scouts for this event. The scout was not invited to NBA’s pre-draft training camps located in Phoenix and Chicago.
