Persis Namuganza is one of the most popular and richest Politician who was born on October 5, 1984 in Uganda. Her birthplace was within the Namutumba District on 5 October 1984. After attending local schools she attended Mount Elgon High School in Mbale in Mbale, where she completed her O-level studies. Then she moved to a school in the Luweero District, where she took her A-Level exams in 2003.
Persis Namuganza is an Ugandan politician as well as the state minister for land of the Cabinet of Uganda. She was appointed to this post on June 6th, 2016. Namuganza also serves as the elected representative for Bukono County, which is located in the Namutumba District, in the 10th Parliament (2016-2021).
In March 2018, 32 members of the Busoga parliamentary caucus met and voted to expel Persis Namuganza, from the caucus, for “unbecoming conduct”. The caucus accuses Namuganza of threatening as well as inciting her voters to cause harm, injure and maim the Kyabazinga William Gabula Nadiope IV and Speaker Rebecca Kadaga at a rally she held at Ivukula in Namutumba District, during the first half of March 2018.
The year 2016 was the first time she was a participant in the national elective political arena in a competitive manner by running for the Bukono County Constituency seat in the Namutumba District on the National Resistance Movement platform of the political party. She was elected and is now the incumbent.

in 2006 Namuganza earned a certificate in accounting from the Makerere Business Institute (not affiliated with Makerere University). In the was the same year that she enrolled in Kyambogo University, graduating in 2009 with the Bachelor of Social Work as well as a Social Administration degree. In April of 2018 her graduation ceremony was held at Cavendish University Uganda with a master’s degree in international relations.
Her career began in 2009 with Anti Corruption Coalition Uganda, an NGO. (NGO) in which she worked as a program officer. After a year she moved onto Pearl of Africa Research and Accountability an NGO working as a public relations manager and officer from 2010 to 2012. She was later appointed as an assistant district commissioner for the resident of Luweero District, serving in the role from 2012 to 2015.
On Monday 12 March 2018, the Daily Monitor reported that the Inspector General of Government, Irene Mulyagonja was investigating Namugaza, for possible lack of the necessary academic qualifications to hold the public offices that she currently occupies. The investigation was initiated, following a formal complainant, filed on 7 March 2018, by a group of “concerned people” from Busoga, her home sub-region.
