Johannes Ubeda (born 15 September 1971) is an Dutch Super Middleweight Kickboxer who was a former champion. From 1992 to 2008,, he was the winner of 13 championships (national as well as international) in kickboxing. He also won professional-level titles in taekwondo as well as pro-boxing. He is also a competitive Motocross racer. Ubeda has retired and owns the gym he owns, Ubeda Gym which is located in his hometown of Nijmegen.

In 2002, Ubeda was awarded two more titles. He defeated Turkish boxers Sahin Yakut as well as Yucel Fidan to take home his title. World Kickboxing Association (W.K.A. )and World Full Contact Association (W.F.C.A.) World Titles. The W.F.C.A. title would be the final honour Ubeda would be able to claim, as the years of injury from kicks that were low took the impact on his shins, and made it so that he could only be able to compete using full-contact kickboxing style for the rest of his life. In 2003, he faced Rayen Simson during the first of their two fights in the final K-1 victory, which was decided with a unanimous decision in the K-1 Holland Grand Prix 2003.

Ubeda began his professional career in 1980. He was in his first bout for the title in 1986. He lost against Andre Masseurs in their match for the Dutch Youth kickboxing belt. In 1992, he faced Sedou Kiatsongrit to win his W.M.T.C (now W.M.C) the world championship, but fell. He bounced back from the defeat to win his I.K.B.F European championship at Clermont-Ferrand, France, defeating his opponent via knockout.

In 1995, Ubeda was awarded the 1995 W.M.T.A World title. He defeated champion of the time Azem Maksutaj and knocked the opponent three times in the course to a first-round stoppage triumph on the streets of Nijmegen, Netherlands. In 1996, Ubeda was the winner of a Taekwondo tournament in Tokyo by winning his first All Japan Open Taekwondo Championship and winning every single match with a knockout victory in the first round. This win was more impressive since Ubeda was the tiniest fighter in a competition in which some contestants were weighing up to 90 kilograms (198 pounds). The following year, he defeated Rodney Faverus to win the W.K.A. Dutch title.

As a purely full-contact fighter, Ubeda would continue to win titles, winning the W.F.C.A. kickboxing world title in 2003. Later that year he entered the 8-man “Nuit des Champions” tournament, held annually in Marseilles, France where he made the final. In 2005 he retained his W.F.C.A. kickboxing world title before dropping down in weight to re-match Rayen Simson at the end of the year. He won their title fight in Nijmegen to add the 72.5 kg W.F.C.A. belt to his collection. Not one to be known to turn down a challenge, he also entered pro boxing and had reasonable success, winning the Pro Boxing Brill Ben Carré Amsterdam Cup. He had his last kickboxing bout against good friend Şahin Yakut at It’s Showtime 2009 Amsterdam, losing by unanimous decision.
