Peninah Arusei Jerop (born on January 1, 1979, at Uasin Gishu) is a Kenyan long-distance runner , who specializes in road-running competitions particularly running the half- marathon. She has competed for Kenya in the Olympics as a participant in the 10,000-meter race in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Arusei has been a winner of race in the European road circuit, such as Dam tot Damloop, Dam tot Damloop, Berlin Half Marathon and the Lisbon Half Marathon.

She started 2010 by winning the Lisbon Half Marathon, finishing with a time of 1:08,38. She improved her personal record during the Lille Half Marathon in September with a time of 1:07:48. However, she was defeated to the in the race by debutant Florence Kiplagat. Arusei was chosen as a participant in 2010’s IAAF World Half Marathon Championships in the end and won the bronze medal, making up an overall winning Kenyan team that included Kiplagat as well as Joyce Chepkirui. The 2011 season began with her participation in the Paris Half Marathon and set an all-time course record to be the winner of the race.
