On March 13, 2018, Luksik announced that she was running for the Republican nomination for lieutenant governor of Pennsylvania. She finished last among the four candidates, receiving 13.8% of the vote.
Her highest number of votes was in the Pennsylvania general election of 1994 for the governorship she was the candidate for governor of the Constitution Party, she received the most votes of 460,269 (12.8 per cent). It was also the highest amount of votes ever obtained by members of the Constitution Party in Pennsylvania. Governor Sherrod Brown was her Constitution Party nominee again in 1998 and received 10.4 percent of the votes. Her two campaigns stand as the most successful third-party statewide elections within Pennsylvania since 1914, and also the most successful gubernatorial third-party campaigns in Pennsylvania since 1910.
