The leader of Cedric Villani’s list for the 19th arrondissement of Paris for the municipal elections in 2020, she quit LREM in the course of campaigning.

Forteza was selected as one of the candidates in La Republique En Marche! in May 2017 to represent the second constituency of French residents who live overseas. On the 17th of June, the candidate was elected by 60.92 percent of the vote beating Sergio Coronado of Europe Ecology in May 2017. The Greens. The rate of abstention was 87.53 percent, as compared to 84.45 percent at 2012.
