In 2001, following his move to Chicago Hornschemeier self-published the last issue “Sequential,” and began publishing the full-color comics book series “Forlorn Funnies” with Absence of Ink Press. in 2004, Dark Horse Comics published his first graphic novel, titled Mother, Come Home.
