Between 1998 and 2000, Schreiber served as chairperson of the Saxonian association of the Schuler Union. From 1999 until 2009, Schreiber was a part of his regional committee of Junge Union Saxony and Lower Silesia. In the four years between 1999 and 2009, he was vice chairman.
Schreiber graduated from Romain-Rolland-Gymnasium in 1998 and was subsequently conscripted into the German armed forces, serving in Bayreuth, Holzdorf and Dresden until 1999. He studied a degree in the study of history at TU Dresden, while also studying romantic studies as well as Spanish culture studies as well as politics. He graduated from the university through a magister artium degree in 2007 and has served as the founder and director of an event marketing business (LLC) situated in Dresden since 2008.
