Pamela Behr is the daughter of Sepp Behr, an alpine ski racer who won seven West German national championships titles in giant slalom, the slalom and combined between 1954 and 1962. They are married Christian Knauth, the marketing and communications director for the FIS (International Ski Federation).
She participated for 3 Winter Olympics, racing in every alpine ski event during her Olympic debut in 1972, aged 15 and finishing 6th in slalomand 25th in the giant slalom, while 36th at downhill. She placed 5th in slalom in the 1976 Olympics however she failed to complete the slalom at her final Olympics in the year 1980.
Behr began her journey in the World Cup circuit at the age of 14 during the season of 1971. She scored the first World Cup points the next year. She scored three top-ten results in the 1972 season. This included second place in the slalom at Pra-Loup in France in March of 1972 at 15 years and with 178 days of age, making her the youngest athlete ever to stand on the World Cup podium (top three).

Pamela Behr (born September 21 1956 in Hindelang in Hindelang, later West Germany) is a retired German alpine ski racer. She is the second-youngest person to ever be the winner of the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup race. She won an slalom at Val d’Isere, France, in December 1972, at 16. and with a time of 79 days. It was the only World Cup race win of her entire ten-year professional career. She won the silver medal in slalom at the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 1978 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
Behr took home Behr won the West German national championships a total of seven times between 1971 and 1979. 6 times in slalom, and one time in huge slalom.
