Ozoda Rahmon was born Ozoda Emomalievna Raakhmonova (Tajik: Ozoda Emomalievna Rakh’monova). The university she attended was the Tajik National University with a specialization on International Law in 2000. Between 2004 and 2006, she studied political and economics courses at Georgetown University and English courses at the University of Maryland. She received her Candidate of Sciences degree after defense of a dissertation about legislation concerning female rights in Tajikistan.
