After Benin was not able to participate in this year’s edition in 2006, Benin qualified for the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations having finished second in their qualifying group, just behind Mali. Tchomogo scored two goals for Benin during the final day of their qualification tournament with Sierra Leone to grant them access to the African Cup of Nations. He was selected as one of 23 players who will be included in the squad for the tournament. Similar to the 2004 edition, Benin finished bottom of their group, with just one point after three fixtures. Tchomogo quit international football at the end of 2009 following Benin did not get into this year’s Africa Cup of Nations.

In Cotonou, Tchomogo began his career in the year 1996 with the his local team ASPAC FC. He joined French club Grenoble Foot 38 in 1998 which he played for for three years. He scored 11 goals across 53 games. After his removal of Grenoble at the end of 2001, he joined ASOA Valence, En Avant de Guingamp and Amiens SC.

Tchomogo became a part of the national team debut at twenty in the year 1998. In his international career Tchomogo helped his nation win their initial Africa Cup of Nations in 2004. He was picked by then coach Cecil Jones Attuquayefio to play in the finals. Benin’s first appearance at the Africa Cup of Nations saw the team finish last in their group. They were beaten by Morocco, Nigeria and South Africa.

In the summer of 2006 he returned to Portugal, this time to play for Vitória de Guimarães. Following his spell with Vitória de Guimarães, he left for Portimonense where he remained for one season. Following his departure from Portimonense in the summer of 2008, he played for Chambéry, Al Kharaitiyat and ASOA Valence. In the summer of 2012, he signed for French lower-league side UMS Montélimar.
