Otto Jespersen is one of the most popular and richest Comedian who was born on July 21, 1954 in Randers, Central Denmark Region, Denmark. Otto Jespersen (born 21 July 1954) is a Norwegian actor, comedian and television host. He played the lead role in the film Trollhunter.
In 2002, he teamed up with fellow comedians Silje Gjertsen along with Thomas Gjertsen to host the weekly comedy show Torsdagsklubben which gained him a reputation for his sharp closing monologue. Stang and Giertsen used to had the same show idea as Mandagsklubben.
His television show Rikets Røst premiered in early 2005. Among the show’s recurring contributors are and were Zahid Ali, a Norwegian-Pakistani comedian; Pia Haraldsen; and Espen Eckbo, an actor. In spring 2006, while shooting a stunt for the show in the city of Ålesund, Jespersen and Mayor Arve Tonning lit a bonfire in the centre of town and burned some Norwegian books and paper money. To the mayor’s consternation, Jespersen then added several pages from the Bible’s Old Testament, leading to national press coverage.
In 2008, when Jespersen mourned the fleas and lice on Holocaust victims, a Jerusalem Post opinion article decried Norwegian television channel TV 2’s defence of this incident, using it as an example of growing anti-Semitism and anti-Israeli sentiments in Norway.
In the fall of 2002, the concluding monologue focused on Swedish prime minister Kjell Magne Bondevik, slamming his use of medication and his skepticism. The host concluded the program with a call to “all good forces'” to invite Christer Pettersson, who is a suspect for Olof Palme’s murder, to Swedish Premier Olof Palme in Oslo. Bondevik criticized the monologue in an interview, calling it cowardly and disgusting, triggering controversy over the monologue in Norway. Following this controversy Jespersen faced a whole host of threats to kill him.

At 19 years old, Jespersen was a Marxist-Leninist and was also a participant in the Communist group Red Youth. In an Oslo-based radio station, Radio Nova in Oslo, in 1988 Jespersen along with his co-workers Stig Holmer as well as Charlo Halvorsen started the magazine program Revolvermagasinet in Norwegian the national broadcaster. The show was a nighttime program that featured unusual interviews. It was in the year 1992 that the trio joined forces again to create The Show – storbymoro for Enslige i Utkant-Norge, a Norwegian national television.
