Orit Strook is one of the most popular and richest Politician who was born on March 15, 1960 in Jerusalem, Jerusalem District, Israel. Orit Malka Straok (Hebrew: Avryt mlKHh sTrvk born 15 March, 1960) is an Israeli politician. She was an official part of the Knesset for Tkuma (a group within the Jewish Home) between 2013 between 2013 and 2015. Strook is also one of the people who run Hebron, the Jewish Settlement in Hebron She also established the Israeli non-governmental organisation Human Rights Organization of Judea and Samaria which she headed between 2004 and 2012.

In 2007, his son Zvi was found guilty of sexually abusing an innocent Palestinian child and murdering a goat. As it turned out, got sentenced for 30 years in prison. As a response to that verdict, Strook stated that, “Unlike the Court, who preferred to believe the Arab witnesses, we are sure of Zvi’s innocence, and are hurting from the success of his haters and would assist him to deal with the difficult sentence imposed on him”.

In the 2013 elections, Strook was elected to the Knesset on the Jewish Home list. She was among the Knesset’s most vehement opponents to recognition of non-Orthodox movements of Judaism. She was placed thirteenth on the party’s list for the 2015 elections, losing her seat as the party was reduced to eight seats.

The year 2002 was the time that Strook established in 2002 the Human Rights Organization of Judea and Samaria after the Israeli evacuation of Israeli settlements Livnat Ozeri and her five children from Hill 26 near Kiryat Arba which she has since led the organization on her own. In her role with the organization, she has filed numerous complaints with the Israeli Police Investigations Department (mH”SH) and filed several suits against officers of the police who were alleged to have assaulted protesters during demonstrations in protest against Israel’s unilateral withdrawal plan, and in the aftermath from Amona. Strook was placed 13th on the National Union-National Religious Party’s list of candidates for the elections in 2006 but was unable to secure an election because the alliance was able to win only nine seats.

Strook was born into an attorney family from Jerusalem. The name she chose for her Middle name Malka was named for her in honor of her mother, who was the famous Hungarian Jewish poet Maria Kecskemeti. As a child, Strook studied at the Hebrew University Secondary School. In the late 1970s when they were in 11th grade Strook began to become more religious and became a Baalat Teshuvah accepting Orthodox Judaism. At the time she was enrolled in Zionist Institute, a religious Zionist outreach organization as well as the Yeshiva Meir Institute. In the following year, she got married to her son, who was Orthodox Rabbi and politician Rabbi Haim Drukman. The couple lived briefly with each other in the Israeli community located in Yamit within the Sinai Peninsula however, after Sinai was transferred in 1982 to Egypt in 1982 in accordance with the the 1979 peace treaty between Israel and Egypt and Yamit was forced to leave, Strook and her family became part of to the Jewish settler community of Hebron.

Following it was discovered that Cave of the Patriarchs was shut to allow Jewish prayer in the aftermath of the Cave of the Patriarchs massacre in 1994, Strook was elected as the leader of the “Women’s Committee for the Cave” (v`d nSHym lmn) and was able to persuade the political system to allow the cave to be reopened to Jewish visitors. From 2000 on, she’s led the department for legal and political affairs of the organization for Jewish settlements in Hebron.

As of 2013, Strook is a resident of Avraham Avinu (Hebron), an Israeli settlement in the West Bank. She is married, and has 11 children, and 12 grandchildren.
