After despatching former champion and local hero Ong Beng Hee in the semis, the third-seeded Mosaad survived a 112-minute final over Adrian Grant, beating the experienced Englishman 11-6, 12-10, 12-14, 6-11, 11-8 to claim his first PSA International 50 title.
The 2008 season was a success for him and brought him an award from the PSA Young Player of the Year Award at the close of the year.

When he joined with the PSA in 2005 The tall and powerful Cairo-based Egyptian made his debut Tour final in the year following in Iran in which he took home the FAJR International in Tehran.
After an impressive junior career during which he took home U17 as well as U19 British Junior Open titles and even made it to the World Junior Championship final in 2006, Omar Mosaad quickly established his credentials as a senior through winning the number of PSA World Tour titles from 20 final appearances and also announcing his career-high World No. 3 ranking in June of 2016.
