Omar Fraile Matarranz (born 17 July 1990) is a Spanish racing cyclist who is currently a member of UCI WorldTeam Astana. He has won events of the Tour de France and the Giro d’Italia, and has twice been awarded the Mountains classification at the Vuelta a Espana.

On August 4, 2018 Fraile took part in the Clasica de San Sebastian and placed 24th. He was 52 seconds ahead of the winner Julian Alaphilippe.

Then, Team Dimension Data announced that Fraile would be joining Team Dimension Data for the season of 2016. Fraile was included in the starting list of the 2016 Giro d’Italia, but abandoned the race during Stage 5. But, prior to abandoning the race, he was able to wear his Mountains Jersey on stage 3 after having earned enough points from stage 2. Fraile was then awarded his Mountains class at Vuelta a Burgos. Then he rode the Vuelta a Espana where he was crowned the winner of the Mountains classification again.

A week prior to riding in the Giro d’Italia, Fraile finished 2nd in last stage in the Tour de Yorkshire, and consequently 2nd in the general classification. At stage 11 in the Giro d’Italia, Fraile made the breakaway, and finished the stage by sprinting against his breakaway team. He also managed to rack points for the Mountains classification, which allowed him to be wearing the Mountains Jersey for 2 days before he lost it in the course.

In July 2018, he was named in the start list for the 2018 Tour de France. He went on to win stage 14 of the race. Fraile was placed 57th on the final general classification of the Tour de France 2018.
