Omar Jesus Daal Cordero (born on March 1st 1972) is a Venezuelan professional baseball player who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for 11 seasons between 1993 and 2003. He was a part of the Los Angeles Dodgers, Montreal Expos, Toronto Blue Jays, Arizona Diamondbacks, Philadelphia Phillies as well as the Baltimore Orioles.
In 2003, Daal signed a two-year contract with Baltimore However following an arthroscopic operation for his right shoulder in the beginning of 2004 Daal was out for the whole season and did not play at a Major League match in the future.
On the 15th of August 2001 Daal was joined by fellow Venezuelan pitchers Giovanni Carrara, Kelvim Escobar along with Freddy Garcia for wins in their respective starts: Daal, in a Phillies win against the Brewers 8-6. Carrara from the Dodgers winning against Montreal 13-1. Escobar from the Blue Jays, over Oakland with a score of 5-2 and Garcia from Seattle in a game against Seattle, who defeated the Red Sox, 6-2. It was one of the few times that in MLB the history of baseball that all four Venezuelan pitchers who started the game recorded winning in one day.
