Omar David Bencomo Lamas (born on February 10 1989) is an Venezuelan professional baseball pitcher who plays for the Sugar Land Skeeters of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. Bencomo joined the Tampa Bay Rays as an undrafted free agent on the 29th of January 2007, and was a part of their organization until the year 2011. Bencomo played in only the Venezuelan Winter League in 2013 and 2014 prior to being signed by the Wichita Wingnuts of the American Association of Independent Professional Baseball for the 2015 season. He signed minor league contracts with Minnesota Twins on August 7, 2015. Minnesota Twins on August 7 in 2015 and continued to play with Minnesota Twins until the end of 2016.
On April 3 2019 Bencomo was signed as a player with Tecolotes de los Dos Laredos of the Mexican League. He was released on April 18, 2019.
On February 19, 2020, Bencomo signed with the Sugar Land Skeeters of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball.
On April 22nd 2019 Bencomo made a signing for his team, the Sultanes de Monterrey of the Mexican League. Bencomo was traded for the Bravos de Leon on July 2nd 2019. Bencomo became free on the 29th of July 2019.
