For the third straight time, Bamgbose was tabbed as an injury replacement . He fought Cezar Ferreira in April 16th, 2016 on UFC on Fox 19, acting as an interim replacement for wounded Caio Magalhaes. He was defeated by unanimous decision.
Bamgbose was released from UFC on December 28, 2017.
Bamgbose faced Alessio Di Chirico on December 16, 2017 at UFC on Fox 26. He lost the fight via knockout in the second round.
Bamgbose was briefly linked to a fight together with Josh Samman on December 9 in 2016, at UFC Fight Night 102. The match-up never came to fruition since Josh Samman passed away on October 5 in 2016. Samman was replaced Joe Gigliotti. Then, Bamgbose pulled out of the fight in the middle of November citing an injury. He was replaced by newcomer to the promotion Gerald Meerschaert.

After playing in amateur competition for a year and recording an overall record of 2-1. Bamgbose began his career professionally in June of 2013. In his sole competition in the promotion for regional teams, Ring of Combat, he recorded a record of 5-0 and defeated every opponent within the initial round. He then made the leap to joining Ultimate Fighting Championship. Ultimate Fighting Championship in the summer of 2015.
Bamgbose made his public debut as a short-notice replacement for Uriah Hall in August 8, 2015 , at UFC Fight Night 73. Bamgbose lost the bout with a TKO in the opening round.
Bamgbose next faced Daniel Sarafian on February 21, 2016 at UFC Fight Night 83, again as a short notice replacement, filling in for an injured Sam Alvey. Bamgbose won the fight via knockout in the first round.
