Oliver McMullan (born 22 March 1952) is an Irish Sinn Fein politician, who was elected an MLA in the Northern Ireland Assembly to represent the East Antrim constituency in May 2011. He was also elected to the Larne Borough Council in the local elections of 2011.
After more than 18 years as a councillor of Moyle Council, McMullan contested and was elected to Larne Borough Council in May 2011 by standing in and winning the election for the Coast Road electoral area. McMullan made history as the only Sinn Fein councilor on the majority unionist council. In November of 2011, he quit the council, which allowed his fellow Sinn Fein member James McKeown to replace him.
Standing for re-election in the 2016 Assembly election, he retained his seat with 2633 votes. He lost his seat at the 2017 Assembly election.
He was a member of Sinn Fein before the 2003 Assembly elections, and was unsuccessful for Sinn Fein at East Antrim in those elections as well as the 2007 Assembly elections in 2007. He was elected again to Moyle District Council in 2005 in the role of his first Sinn Fein chairman of the council as well as a board member for the North Eastern Education and Library Board. Additionally, he was a part of the Sinn Fein’s All Ireland Advisory Committees for Agriculture, Tourism and Rural Development.
