Oliver Lis is one of the most popular and richest Film Director who was born on October 17, 1984 in Bogotá, Colombia. The birthplace of the family was Bogota at the age of 1984. father of Jorge Lis Ucros, who appears in a variety of issues of Who’s Who in the World of Science and attorney Ines Cortes Rincon. They are from Pitalito and an associate judges of the Superior Court in Neiva. On the paternal side , he is the son of former senator Carlos Antonio Lis and Eugenia Ucros Garcia, the sister to Eduardo as well as Jaime Ucros Garcia, governors of Huila (the one who was the last senator). From the maternal side, he is the grandchild of the poet who co- founded The Papelipolas and motor of education, Victor Manuel Cortes Vargas (Angel Sierra Basto in the poetry), Pitalito poet by antonomasia, secretary of president of the Senate of Colombia and his wife, Beatriz Rincon Alvarez.

In 2010 Lis was a television presenter hosting The Time Jazz, program that was broadcast on Telmex’s Channel together with the writer Jairo GrijalbaRuiz. It was the continuation from La Tertulia de la Radio of Radio Universidad del Cauca (HJC20 104.1 FM) Its management also facilitated The Latin American Festival of Jazz as well as the World Music of Popayan. In the year 2010, Lis was the lead actor in La Cabellera, University of Cauca’s film, which was nominated for the best picture award at the Caesars awards; Apple co-directed and co-produced alongside Sol Angela Lopez; Lis also produced and directed for the documentary Inclusive Education with Uniminuto released in the Intellectual Patrimony Foundation of the Cauca. In 2012, he began filming the The Papelipolas proposal The Papelipolas as director and producer, as well as the radio show via streaming live La Coya de la Radio in Southcolombian Radio, broadcasting program (1060 AM). He has studied film and film production classes throughout Colombia and Argentina and collaboration with film projects. His research is on cinema of phenomenology.
