Saladuha started her athletics career at the same time like Sergey Bubka, originally as sprint hurdler, but later switched onto triple-jumping. In 1998, she set an European Age-Group record at 13.32 meters. In the following year, she was 5th at the 2002 World Junior Championships in Athletics. After battling injuries over several years, and taking a break from athletics but she continued to make steady progress and finished 4th in the2006 European Athletics Championships and winning the gold medal at the 2007 Summer Universiade with a personal record in the distance of 14.79 meters.
In 2008, at the close of the year Saladuha stepped away for a year of competition to begin the family of her own, and gave the birth of a daughter, Diana. Then she returned to competition in 2010 and won silver during the European Championships in Barcelona. The following year , she established an all-time personal record during the Diamond League meeting in Eugene, Oregon, where she leapt 14.98 meters. She later won an award of gold in the World Championships in Athletics in Daegu.
Saladukha took part in the July 2019 Ukrainian parliamentary election with the party Servant of the People. She was elected to parliament.
