Ofelia Zepeda (born in Stanfield, Arizona, 1952) is a Tohono O’odham poet and intellectual. She is the Regents Prof. in the field of Tohono O’odham language and linguistics and the Director of the American Indian Language Development Institute (AILDI) at The University of Arizona. Zepeda is the editor of Sun Tracks the Sun Tracks series of books that focus specifically on work by Native American artists and writers that are released by University of Arizona Press.

As of 1999, Zepeda won in 1999 a MacArthur Fellowship. She was on the literary advisory committee of Sun Tracks, a publishing program that showcases Native American works, and is the editor of the series. Her collection of poetry was deemed unsuitable by Tucson schools.

In 1995, she published the book, a collection of poems Ocean Power: Poems from the Desert with the introduction “Things That Help Me Begin to Remember”.
