Nicole was born on the 16th of December, 1991 , in Sydney, Australia to Yiannis and Helen Paparistodemou. She spent her childhood in Sydney in Australia and Paphos, Cyprus. There is an elder as well as younger sister, Marinos and Raphaellos -correspondingly. After expressing a real passion for music since the age of 6, she started taking piano, theoretical, solfege and harmony classes as early as 6 and began taking vocal-coach lessons when she was age 8. In her teens she took part in many local singing competitions as well as competitions like the Junior Eurovision Song Contest twice and, even though she was aiming to be a lawyer her passion for music encouraged her to pursue an award to Berklee College of Music in Boston that she was able to secure. But the fact that she was a part of Greek Idol I had changed her plans and she decided to save her spot for a later stage.

In the beginning of 2012, Nicole was signed to Down2Earth Records and since then, she switched her stage name to “Nikki Lee” while adopting a different image, influenced by the Japanese fashion. Her song “Chiki Chiki” was released in June 2012 and was a huge success in many different countries. Her biggest moment of success though in 2012 was her collaboration with Claydee on the hit “Mamacita Buena” which became one of the most viewed Greek songs on YouTube. In May 2013, almost a year after “Chiki Chiki”, her second single “Heleya” was released with promising success.

In the event that she didn’t get the chance for her to be a part of Cyprus at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2010, Nicole decided to give Greek Idol a go.
