Leali was born in Castiglione delle Stiviere, Italy, Leali began his youth career with Brescia Calcio and played for the Brescia Primavera from 2009 until 2011. The 2009-10 Serie B season, Sergio Viotti was a first team player rather than playing in the reserve team, however during the 2010-11 season, the reserve team was Leali who was promoted into first-team. Michal Hrivnak was the first option for the reserve team (12 game) while Leali played in nine games. Leali began the professional journey with Brescia after being called on the field for the first time during the year 2010. In the beginning, Leali was the club’s third choice goalkeeper during this 2010-11 Serie A season, behind veteran Matteo Sereni, and Michele Arcari and was called for 17 games on the bench due to the injury of Sereni who had to terminate the contract of Bresica following his inability to regain his spot in the team after his recovery from injury. Leali began the Serie A debut for the club on the 15th of May in 2011 in a loss of 1-0 against Cesena. Leali was officially made a first-team player in the month of July of 2011 in the run-up to his 2011-2012 Serie B campaign after the club’s fall out of Serie A in 2011. The new season began as the team’s primary goalkeeper in front of the mentioned Arcari and the fellow Brescia youth player Andrea Caroppo, although he ended up losing his spot. In the second quarter of the season Michele Arcari became the first choice following Leali was extensively linked with a possible transfer to other Italian clubs.

On the 30th of August, 2012, Leali was released as a loanee to Serie B club, Lanciano with the basis of a one-year loan contract. While on loan with the club in second tier Leali played in 37 league games. Leali came back to Juventus at the end of June.

Upon his Juventus return, he was once again loaned out, to Serie B side Spezia Calcio on 30 July 2013. He joined the second-tier outfit on a one-season loan deal with an option to purchase half of the player’s contract at the conclusion of the 2013–14 Serie B season. He made his debut for Spezia on 25 August 2013 in a 0–0 home draw against Cittadella, and finished the season with 39 league appearances. He returned to Juventus on 30 June 2014 upon the expiration of the loan agreement.
