Nick Stevens is one of the most popular and richest Australian Rules Footballer who was born on January 3, 1980 in Melbourne, Australia. Nick Stevens, born 3 January 1980, is an Australian rules footballer who played in the Australian Football League. He was also a former coach at Glenelg in South Australia’s National Football League. He was a part of four pre-season premierships. He played with Port Adelaide in 2001, 2002 and Carlton in 2005, and 2007 with Carlton. He is the only man who has won more than one Michael Tuck Medal. He won the awards in 2002 for Port Adelaide, and 2007 for Carlton. Stevens played 104 games for Carlton, and 127 for Port Adelaide.

In 2007, Stevens was elected vice-captain, a position that he held until his retirement. On advice from specialists Stevens underwent surgery to repair a prolapsed disc. He had suffered a neck injury in a collision with David Neitz in Melbourne in late 2006. Stevens continued to play and train after the round. Stevens was in great form throughout the pre-season, early rounds and this injury was a huge blow for Carlton. Stevens signed with the Blues on 23 August 2007 and will remain there until the end 2010.

Following his retirement from AFL, Stevens focused on expanding his business, NJS Signature Landscapes, in Melbourne. Additionally, he took on the senior coaching role of the NSW/ACT Rams for the AFL Under-18 Championships for 2010 and 2011; he had served as an assistant midfield coach for the team since 2006 while still playing for Carlton.

In August 2011, Stevens made a return to the field, playing games for Montmorency in the Northern Football League, where he is still playing games in 2012. In November 2011, Stevens was appointed as senior coach at the Gippsland Power in the TAC Cup for the 2012 season.

Stevens expressed his desire to return home to Melbourne at the close of 2003 and asked to be traded to Collingwood. Port Adelaide could not obtain the appropriate trade consideration and Stevens was forced to leave the club. Stevens then entered the preseason draft. Carlton selected him with the second pick in that draft.
