Nick Scott Petree, born July 16, 1990, is an ex-American professional baseball pitcher who most recently pitched in Minor League Baseball for St. Louis Cardinals. Petree was a Missouri State Bears player in college baseball and earned All-American honors for three seasons.

Petree was the opening-day starter for Springfield in 2015. He pitched for both Springfield (and Palm Beach) during the 2015 season. An MRI scan revealed further damage to Petree’s throwing arm, which required additional surgery. Petree was officially retired from professional baseball on March 1, 2016. Over his minor league career, he had a record of 17-14 with a 2.94 ERA.

Petree was named the #259 prospect by Baseball America for the 2013 Major League Baseball Draft in May 2013. The St. Louis Cardinals selected him in the ninth round. Petree was a short-season player for the State College Spikes. He was the 2013 Spikes Pitcher-of-the Year. Petree began the 2014 season playing for the Peoria chiefs of the Class-A Midwest League. He was called up to the Palm Beach Cardinals in the Class A Florida State League on May 4. Petree was then called up to the Double A Springfield Cardinals of Texas League on September 1.
