Nicholas Edward Burdi, born January 19, 1993, is an American professional baseball pitcher with the Pittsburgh Pirates of Major League Baseball. He was a college baseball player for the Louisville Cardinals of University of Louisville.

Burdi pitched just three innings in 2016, due to a bone bruise on his right elbow. Burdi started the 2017 season at Chattanooga. In May 2017, Burdi needed Tommy John surgery to fix a torn ulnar collatar ligament in his right elbow.

Burdi was a top prospect at the 2014 MLB Draft. Burdi was selected by the Minnesota Twins in the second round. He was the 46th overall pick of the draft. Burdi signed with the Twins in June 25, and was awarded a $1218,800 signing bonus. He reported to the Cedar Rapids Kernels, Class A Midwest League. In 13 innings, he posted a 4.15 ERA. The Twins promoted him to Fort Myers Miracle of Class A-Advanced Florida State League. Burdi began the 2015 season as a Chattanooga Lookouts player in the Class AA Southern League. In June, he was demoted to Fort Myers after struggling with a 5.93 ERA. After six weeks at Fort Myers, Burdi was promoted by the Twins to Chattanooga. He finished the season with a 1.77 ERA and 20/3 innings. After the regular season, the Twins assigned Burdi to the Arizona Fall League’s Scottsdale Scorpions.

After the season, the Philadelphia Phillies selected Burdi in the Rule 5 draft, and traded him to the Pittsburgh Pirates for $500,000 of international signing bonus money. On June 25, 2019, Burdi underwent thoracic outlet surgery to relieve symptoms of thoracic outlet syndrome, putting him out for the rest of the 2019 season.
