He is best known for his time as the drummer in heavy metal band Trivium from 2009 to 2014. He was also the former Light the Torch touring drummer from 2016 to 2017.
He played the Carolina Rebellion festival concert on May 3, 2014. It was his last performance with Trivium. It was revealed that Augusto had left the band four days later while on tour with Vengeance Falls, due to “offstage differences”.
Augusto, who announced Corrosion in October 2014, revealed plans to record an EP with Jason Suecof (producer) and Daniel Bergstrand (guitarist).

Augusto was the drummer of the Floridian grindcore band Maruta and Metal Militia. He also played with Paolo Gregoletto, a Trivium bassist whom he knew since kindergarten. He was responsible for the drums in Trivium’s technical crew. Travis Smith, the drummer and founder of Trivium, took an indefinite hiatus after the first leg “Into The Mouth Of Hell We Tour”, the band’s first headliner tour. Augusto was offered the opportunity to replace him. The band appreciated his quick approach to performing the songs. On October 29, 2009, he played his first show in Atlanta at The Masquerade. The second leg of the tour was completed by the band on December 12, 2009. They played a show in Orlando with Augusto on drums.
Augusto was announced as the new Trivium official member. Travis Smith refused to perform live with the band again on February 4. Augusto was also featured in two new songs, “Shattering the Skies Above” (Sepultura cover) and “Slave New World”, which were both released around the same time. He has recorded two studio albums and appeared in many music videos since then.
In May 2016-January 2017 Augusto played drums on tour for the band Light the Torch.
