Neil Fuller is one of the most popular and richest Athletics Competitor who was born on August 2, 1969 in Shoreham-by-Sea, Australia. Neil Robert Fuller OAM, was born 2 August 1969 in Shoreham by Sea (Sudan), and is an Australian paralympic athlete and amputee.

In 1997, he was inducted into Athletics South Australia Hall of Fame.

In 2001, he was inducted into the Australian Institute of Sport ‘Best of the Best’

In 2012, Neil was inducted into the South Australia Sport Hall of Fame.

Fuller won a bronze medal at the World Championships for the Disabled, Assen, Netherlands in 1990. Fuller won four gold medals at the 1998 World Championships held in Birmingham, UK. From 1992 to 2004, he participated in four consecutive Summer Paralympic Games. He won a medal of the Order of Australia in 1992, and he also received two silver medals and one bronze medal. He won silver in the 100 meter and 200 metre races at the 1996 Summer Paralympics and gold in 4×100 metre relay. He won four gold medals at the Sydney Paralympics four years later in the 200m, 400m, 4x100m relay and 4x400m relay. A bronze in the 100m was also his. At the 2004 Paralympics held in Athens, he won silver medals in both the 400m and 4x400m relays. He also took home a bronze medal in the 4x100m relay.

Neil was a talented soccer player in his youth. He eventually earned a spot at the state level for South Australia. His fibula and tibia were fractured during a soccer match in July 1987. A tackle to the shin caused a severe injury to his right leg. After gangrene had progressed, he was legally considered an adult and decided to have his lower right leg amputated.

Fuller competed in the 100m, long jump, and high jump at the Amputee Nationals, Adelaide, in February 1989. Fuller was selected to be part of the Australian team that competed at the Far East & South Pacific International Championships. He competed in the 100m and long jump as well as the high jump and pentathlon.

In 2000, Fuller received an Australian Sports Medal for “service to amputee athletics as World Class Competitor and Development of National Training Squad”.
