Nebahat Albayrak is one of the most popular and richest Politician who was born on April 10, 1968 in Şarkışla, Sivas, Turkey. Nebahat Albayrak, born 10 April 1968, is a former Turkish-Dutch politician and jurist. Since 5 November 2012, she is Upstream International’s corporate director.

In 2008, Albayrak, the State Secretary was accused of abusing her power to reverse decisions made either by the Immigration Service and the courts. Anonym employees from the immigration department leaked confidential information and claimed Albayrak had reversed 3500 decisions “arbitrarily” and without explanation. Albayrak denied the allegations, stating that she had only reversed 45 decisions. Her predecessor Rita Verdonk (VVD), reversed 1150 of these decisions.

Nebahat Albayrak, the State Secretary (junior Minister) for Justice in fourth Balkenende cabinet was inaugurated on 22 February 2007. Ahmed Aboutaleb and she are the first Muslims to be included in a Dutch cabinet. Right-wing Party for Freedom attempted to stop the installation of Nebahat Albayrak as well as Ahmed Aboutaleb. The party tried to pass a motion against confidence in parliament that targeted all executive branch politicians and parliamentarians with dual citizenship. It claimed these politicians had a loyalty conflict, or appear to have one. Nebahat Albayrak holds both a Turkish passport and a Dutch one. The House of Representatives rejected the motion because it was not supported by any other party than the Party for Freedom.
