Natalia Godunko, Ukrainian: Nataliia Oleksandrivna Godunko; Russian: Natal’ia Alleksandrovna Godunko – born 5/12/1984 in Ukraine) is a former Ukrainian individual rhythmic gymnast. She was the Grand Prix Final All Around champion in 2004 and bronze medalist in 2003 Grand Prix Final All around.

Godunko was a senior and competed in the Ukrainian team for many years. She also participated occasionally in individual events, with very little success. For a time, she was the third-ranked Ukrainian gymnast. At the 2002 Ukrainian Nationals she made her breakthrough, winning bronze in all round and all gold medals. She competed at her first Grand Prix in ball, the Deriugina Cup. In 2003, she then competed at the Holon Grand Prix in ribbon and hoop. At the 2003 Grand Prix Final, Innsbruck (Austria), she won the bronze all-around gold.

In 2005, Godunko was a rival to Anna Bessonova for the position of Ukraine’s top gymnast. In front of a home audience, Godunko won the Deriugina Cup title. She was the only Ukrainian to win a gold medal, in ribbon, at the 2005 European Championships.

At the 2008 Summer Olympics, Godunko finished seventh in the All-around finals with an overall score of 68.850 points. She briefly returned to competition in 2010.

Godunko sold her 2001 World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships Team All-Around Gold Medal to support the Ukrainian Army, which was at that time fighting a war for Donbass.

Godunko began rhythmic gymnastics training at the age of six in 1990. Albina and Irina Dieugina, her mother and daughter coaching team, trained Godunko in Kiev. Although she was not tall and had long legs, her coaches didn’t notice her until later.
