Naomi Tamura (Tian cun Zhi mei, Tamura Naomi) is a Japanese pop singer/songwriter. She made her solo debut with the song Jiyuu No Hashi in 1994. Her most well- known work is singing the theme songs to popular anime series like Yuzurenai Negai, Magic Knight Rayearth, and Yuragu Koto Nai Ai, Get Backers. Airy Music Japan currently has her under contract.
PEARL was revived in 1997 and new members were added to the scene. They would remain active until 1999. She would also create the unit Mother with Ichiro, Grace. PEARL would reunite again in 2007
In 2003, Tamura changed labels from Universal Music Japan to Crown Record. She would keep on jumping from one record label to another until she settled down with Airy Music Japan in 2005.
She made her debut in Kouhaku Uta Gassen at the end 1995.

Naomi Tamura was just 19 years old when she entered the show business after her high school graduation. Her band STEP won an audition for CBS Records. STEP eventually changed their name to PEARL in 1986. They released eight albums, two compilation albums, and a dozen singles, before disbanding in 1993.
She debuted in 1994 with Jiyuu No Hashi. Tamura’s third single, Eien no Ichibyou was her breakthrough single. Yuzurenai Negai was her fourth single and became Tamura’s first million-copy selling single. It was also used in the anime series Magic Knight Rayearth.
In 2002, she sang “Yuragu Koto Nai Ai”, an opening song for the anime series Get Backers.
